Last night was our end night,
Moment i looked back to hold your hand
Could look at you, facing the back
And i realised...WE HAVE GROWN APART!!!
But the instant when i turned around,
To follow the road ahead
I saw my friendship, smiling back to me.
That's when it dawned upon...
You there still here in some corner,
............Overshadowed ...........
By the present....smiling back to my past...looking forward to my future.
Its an ironical display of various emotions. but as the writer labelled the post with friendship and bonding, i do understand the sudden acceptance of emotional imbalance. First time visited the blog. Found few post interesting and the deep insight of writer could be justified.
ReplyDelete"the laughter lasts ...for the one who laughs last ..and he laughs loudest"....why did the person ever thought..its the last night ...was it a momentary insecurity....??? its heartening to identify with him..and the pleasure of relief when he realises his friendship hasnt gone anywhere..comes thru very strongly in the lines.Had the friendship allowed him to go ahead ..alone...thn it wasnt friendship at all ...Its said...friends never leave each other..they are never apart..they just sumtimes sit silently deep within each other's heart saying "i am still there " .

ReplyDeleteWe do assume few of our close associations like friendship is eternal. I am one of them. As i believe friends may become stranger but the essence of friendship stays in our mind, life and in our subconcious. We do attach lot of value to the moments spent together with friends and this special relationships. also u pointed what was the writing going when he wrote the lines. Its a state of disillusion maybe still can see the road ahead clearly. @betu

A thought provoking post indeed.....its strange how some people are like waves....they come and touch you lives briefly and then wash away into the ocean of people leaving you to wonder if it all was a dream....and yet I do believe that there no strangers in this world....only friends ready to be met....!!!

We human have tendency to hold back people, emotions and so on. But to have the best of all emotions..letting go is most important aspect. Often when you LET GO, people intend to believe the person does not care but the actual case if quite different.
